We have been here a week of our two week stay and would love to stay longer. However, we have other commitments. This is a small campground (45 sites) on the side of a hill, right across from a working Amish farm (Sam's Farm). We needed to use 2 layers of the plastic blocks on the downhill side of the rig, but that posed no problem. Larger rigs stay in the lower part of the campground, smaller in the upper part which is near the office, laundry room, and showers. Beacon Hill is about 1/2 mile off Route 340 in downtown Intercourse, PA, short walking distance to Kitchen Kettle Village and tons of other shops, etc. We have so enjoyed the beauty and serenity of this place and, yes, even the infrequent "farm smells." The grass is so green and thick, perfect for "bare footing." We have been able to watch Sam and his family go about their daily routines, including plowing their fields with a team of six horses, and planting new crops, and the kids have brought over fresh veggies for us to buy. The campground owners are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, and will help you in any way they can. It has been a wonderful experience, one we plan to repeat!
