Battery cut off switch

So question comes to mind. Living full time and hooked up to shore power, do you turn battery switch off or leave on? Yes, no, and why? What does it do to or for the batteries? How do you know? Hmm.....

Leave it is the Off mode (i.e. the batteries *ARE* connected and the key can't be removed). While the converter produces 12V, it doesn't put out a lot amperage. The batteries are only charged when the converter is connected.
