3790RD Led roof lighting wood trim problem

Hi All. I did try to search to see if this question was already answered, but I was not successful.

So in our 3790RD - there is led strip lighting hidden behind some wooden trim that runs down both sides of the kitchen and lounge area. Some of these are coming away from the wall. They seem to be only held on with a few nails.

Has anyone on here experienced the same issue and what did you use/do to fix it? I am thinking of gluing them on, but not sure what kind of glue to use.

Any advice appreciated!

They have now on the '18 models put blocks every 6-8 feet and attached them to the walls and attached the crown type molding to them. Evidently they have had trouble with them coming loose as my '16 is also. It appears if the molding is twisting and pulling away. I'm gonna have to repair mine pretty soon.

That's interesting. Seems like you and I will both be doing something to fix this trim.

Use silicone to re-attach trim inside as the heat won't affect it like it does glue. These things get hot running down the road and with the vibrations the glue lets go and the staples they use can only hold so much. As each piece of trim comes off I have used silicone and problem goes away... I also have a small brad nail gun that I use on trim such as you are talking about as it's easier than trying to use clamps on some of the trim pieces that will fall off....... not just Montana problem but industry wide problem

Yes it is common at least on my unit. Just to be on the safe side you might want to check that trim before moving your slides out. I just happened to glance up and noticed a whole section was hanging down on one end. It woulhave made a real mess if I had opened the slide all the way. Probably would have no problems if they would of put some wood backing behind the luan paneling.

ditto...3791 crown molding coming loose. held on with staples/brad nails only. I asked the dealer why they didn't use glue and he said that due to roading and racking the trim may come down eventually anyway and the glue may bring the wall liner down with it.
