Water Leaking From A/C

Currently in humid Fla. & we noticed, last nite, water leaking into our 2010, 3075RL from the A/C while the A/C is running. I removed the plastic trim from the inside, & checked that the four mounting bolts are secure, & the filter is good. Wiped everything dry & started the unit again, after less than an hour, with the plastic trim still removed, it looks like condensation is forming & dripping from the metal frame of the A/C. Going up on the roof today to remove the A/C cover & check that the fins & drain tube are clear. Other than that, any ideas?
John

If you still have normal water drain off the roof, think you are on the right track. Either plugged drain holes or a deteriorated roof gasket would be at the top of my list to check.

So here is how this played out. I ended up calling a come to the site RV repair. He took off the inside plastic trim, & with the outside roof shroud in place, looking up from the inside of the 5th wheel daylight could be seen from a number of places that should have been sealed from the factory with tape or caulking. In some places their was no tape, & in some places the sealing tape had dry rotted, & fallen off. Although the roof gasket wasn't leaking water, it had become brittle, & dry. It was explained that warm air was being sucked in through the places that were no longer taped, & through the gasket, as that warm air mixed with the cold air from the A/C condensation was forming & dripping into the unit. The A/C unit was removed from the roof, & all seams were tapped & sealed, a new roof gasket installed. It's over 80 today & the unit has been running all day, with no dripping into the unit. Just removed the interior plastic trim, & the metal frame of the A/C unit is dry. Problem solved.
