And yet another easy 3750FL mod

We needed a good place to have the ice maker when setup. We removed the banister/handrail off the top of the computer desk.

The handrail is held in place with 8 screws, two into the wall (behind wood caps) and 6 into the computer desk (screwed in from underneath inside the computer desk).

Removal added a lot of space and we got the idea from pictures we saw on one of the Alpine units. We kept the handrail at home in the sticks and brinks in case we decide to sell the unit.

The thought is if you remove the handrail you can put whatever you want there that will fit...even your printer.

Without removing the handrail I was able to put the printer there and strapped it to the handrail.

My printer (Canon I560) and modem (CenturyLink ADSL) fit nicely into the desk along with a host of other office type stuff. I installed a phone connection terminal in the convenience center left of the Cable & Satellite then ran a line to a similar phone connection installed just above the power plug inside the desk. No visible wires and a nice neat install! I'd do the same type of install for a cable modem connection.
