Bridge over water

We arrived back in Michigan yesterday to find that our "bridge" from the front of the property to the back woods was finally OVER water!

When we moved here years ago, the divit in the ground back there was rather wet in the spring, mucky, making it impossible to get to the woods via that route. I wanted a bridge, we "discussed" it, several times, we finally had one built, and ever since it has been DRY as a bone down there. Turned into Carol's folly, eh?? HAHA

Well, twice the normal snow fall and some pretty good rains, we now have a bridge over water

At least it isn't troubled water; then you would have a bridge over troubled water!

Aw, shucks. I read Carol's post and thought I'd make this comment but as I read further I saw you beat me to it. So I'll have to think up something about water under the bridge, instead.

Our pontoon boat is still toooooo large for this little pond, but, Al has one of those minature battery operated speed boats. We tried in it there one time, but there is too much algae and muck, kept clogging up the little propellor! It was not too bad as long as we could get it back to shore before it totally stopped turning, but when he had to get the hip boots on to go fetch it out of the middle of the pond, well, that sorta put a halt to that game!

Carol:

You know what they say about water under the bridge?

Glad you two made it home safe.

Water is the perfect protector. We wouldn't want you to burn your bridges behind you.

Would have liked to see the little boating try. Glad to know someone else plays with toys like us. We have those little battery cars we play with. When we can keep the dogs from chasing them.
