Hey Jim! Got any pictures of the units installed? As soon as it warms up here and the "White Sunshine" leaves us I hope to put some under our unit also! Did you use the round pvc or the square fence post pvc? PM or email me if you want!

So how did you manage to put a 7 foot folding ladder in a 6 inch pipe?? Do they make a collapsible ladder like that?? I'm going to check Tweetys.

Sounds like a great idea. If you could post a few pictures that would be helpful.

I bought my folding ladder at Camping World. They had it on sale for $119.00. When it's open it's a sturdy ladder. It has a 300 pound rating. I'll try to post some pics of the tubes this afternoon.

We have the same setup. Purchased the ladder at CW. We have the two 6" tubes. Ladder in one and sewer hoses in the other. We (me) drilled holes all along the bottom of the one for the sewer hoses to allow for drainage and air. We only put ours on around 3 years ago and have been RVing for 15+. Ed said he sure wished he had done this years and years ago. It is really a great set up.
Happy trails.....................

Tubes for those folding ladders and extra sewer hoses are a good idea. We found a different solution.
We had a 6' CW folding ladder, it was to short, and never very trustworthy-sturdy for our needs. We replaced it with a telescoping ladder. This ladder takes up very little room sitting on edge in the basement (21.5"), and extends to 10.5 feet, plenty of height to reach even the top of the front cap.
Instead of carrying sewer hoses, gutter ramps and connection fittings we opted for the sewer solution. This is a single 10' 1" OD" hose that easily fits in the sewer cabinet with room for an extra 10' 1" OD hose for those extended reach situations.
There are different solutions to all situations, some are just simpler than others, and in our case, these additions take up less room and are much more convenient for our lifestyle.

Jim, where do you find 6" pvc?
Mike, I got mine at CW, also. Folded it is not quite square. The long side is around 4 inches, maybe just a little more. Six inch peipe would work well.

Steve,
Lowes sells 6" pvc and the fittings. You can also get it at a plumbing supply. It's not cheap. I had some lengths of it left from a job I did years ago. I cut it into 90" lengths. It was gray electric conduit so I painted it.
