How to help stop Frame Flex
How often have you set up you Monty and had the rear support legs down and the front tripod hooked to the pin, your Roto Chocks between the wheels, and still get a lot of Monty Movementcaused by your frame flexing at the axels, when I was at Q-site in Febuary 2010, I picked up this handy dandy gadget at the RV show. It is made from a early style bumper jack and pads welded to the top and bottom to prevent slipping off the frame you just snug them up 1 click and your done. It has seemed to help me with this problem, and I just didnt want to spend 275.00 for those realy good ones I invested 65.00 for the pair.here are a few pictures I took of them for the post.

I didn't see them either, but if they work that good I might have to look into them or pick up a couple of old bumper jacks and make my own. Or wouldn't a couple of bottle jacks do the same thing.

I'll have to go to the storage lot and retreve the jacks hopefully there is a name on them, they were on the side that the Honda generatosr were on but next to the tent. when I get the informayion I send it to you. OK?

I tried the bottle jack idea a couple of years ago and they would loose pressure over time. I now use a couple of 3000# scissor jacks ($20 each)that I got at Walmart. They need spacers to reach the frame.

I use a couple 20 ton bottle jacks. Over kill for sure, but the jacks can also be used to change tires, work on brakes, etc.

That is so cool, I would get 4, set for in back of the wheels and a set for half way between the landing gear and tires. Our washer and dryer can get this rig jumping.

OK I found the manufacture of the stabiliser jacks, they show them as to be used for the slides but I use thm on the frame that my first post shows.

They look like short, very short load locks out of trailer trucks. In the truck they span the width of the trailer to hold the load in place. Way lighter than bottle jacks. Sounds like i'll be placing a call to my buddies in the receiving dept at my old job!!!

All they are Keven is bumper jacks with some tubing and a rubber pad mounted on a flat plate. they could be simple to make too.

We are sitting in a place called The Cedars in Ferndale, WA. I ordered a set of these
"Slide Jacks", on Monday and they arrived today. I installed them under the frame on our
2007 Monty 2955RL, and placed them just ahead of the front wheels. Brought them up
snug, and then one more click. Came inside and did the jump test for my dear wife
and she IS IMPRESSED. We are about 98% bounce free. I had a for sale sign on my king pin jack, and the same staff member that came to tell me my Fed Ex parcel had arrived, then bought my king pin jack. I have a really bad disc problem with my back, and it seems that
every time I had to load or unload it from the back of the truck, I was in pain for a week.
The new jacks will fit in the basement and they weigh next to nothing.
Interesting that a slide jack would resolve our bouncing problems so easily.

Klash, find yourself a piece of 1/2" cold role and see if it will incert into the handle of the jack I did and it does help on that last little nudge dowm on the handle, I put a rubber handle, and a slight bend to make it easier to give it leverage. Im glad the worked for you and made your wife more comfortable. Im glad I got mine too, my wife is a heavy footed soul too. Ha Ha
