Bathroom vent cover will not raise

2018 Montana 5th wheel. Daughter turned on fan,& vent cover raised. Decided she didn’t want fan, hit vent button without turning off the fan. Vent cover lowered and began bumping up and down. Will no longer raise electronically or manually. What part do I need to fix it or should I just take it to dealer? It is a maxxair fan.

MaxxAir Operating Mechanism, known to explode and self destruct.
Part number: 10-20281K-1AF Operator Mechanism, Automatic, is most likely part number but double check with your model number.
Call AirExcel and ask for several. We have three MaxxAir Fans and the Operator Mechanism has been replaced on all three at least once and several times on some.

We had to replace the gearbox on our Class C as well (my fault). It's pretty straightforward.

It helps if you keep the rubber seal on the lid conditioned with something so it doesn't stick to the lid.
