Leaks!

Just when I felt really comfortable about no leaks, I find water inside a compartment. I have resealed all the frames, replaced the bad weatherstripping & try to always look for signs of water infiltration. We are using our camper to work at a rental property through the winter so we are in it every week end, which is how we noticed it so quick. The rain blowing just at the right angel causes the poorly sealed compartment doors to leak. As soon as I removed the first rusty screw I knew, so I removed all of them, cleaned them & resealed with silicone. Some were worse than others but they all leaked. Next week end we will give them a good water test if its not below freezing.

I would suggest replacing those screws with stainless steel screws. I’ve replaced quite a few with stainless because once those original screws rust, they just don’t grip as well.
