Angry Furnace and fridge only works once in awhile

Fridge problems here. Our fridge keeps shutting off whenever it wants to. We took it in for repairs and they say nothing is wrong with it. We have noticed that when we turn on the fantastic fan in the kitchen the fridge will kick off. we just discovered that yesterday, after 2 days of techs not being able to find the problem. We also had problems with the furnace. had no heat for a month. blower and fan would kick on but would not ignite. Our service man said there was no problem with that either. Mind you, it was the service dept from where we purchased our RV. A private service man said we had an ac/dc ripple. But of course the service dept said there was nothing wrong there either. Has anyone else had these issues with their 2017 Montana or are we the lucky ones that have a crappy wiring issue

What is an ac/dc ripple? What fridge do you have - are you having trouble running it on gas or electric?

I’m guessing this is not a 120 volt problem, but more likely you have a problem with the 12 volt circuit that feeds what isn’t working. There could be a loose connection that causes low voltage as soon as you put load on it, such as when you turn on the fan or something else on that 12 volt circuit.

What i would think he meant is 12 volt DC is supposed to be 12 volt DC with no 60 Hz AC ripple riding on the DC. A defective converter could cause that. A converter converts AC to DC and needs to be filtered to maintain pure DC.

Plattborze,

Is there a difference if you run it on batteries alone or if you are hooked up to shore power? Does the rig work normally on shore power alone set up for electric? The private service diagnosed ac/dc ripple - did he recommend a fix? Are you getting a trouble code on the refrigerator?

The more info you give us the more likely we can help.
