Has anyone replaced their LRE rubber blocks themselves?

While I haven't laid down between the wheels and actually stuck a screwdriver in to see how deep the cracks are, I do believe I may have to either do the replacement myself or pay someone to do it for me. I've all the tools, jacks & etc. needed, but am wondering just how difficult it is. Input please!

I posted this years back ... I think you can just click on the photo bucket link for the photos. http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...t=shear+spring

Now that looks seriously easy! How much prying & pulling to get the new shear spring in?

Once bolts were out, my shear spring slipped right down and out once I moved it a bit. New ones slipped right in with a couple of light taps from a mallet.

Thanks again. I never thought about doing it this way. I thought I'd have to unbolt the springs first and then the LRE. I've got the same HF jack you do, but will have to use a bottle one for the second axle. Got two big ones and one of them will do the trick for certain.

I have replaced my drivers side shear spring twice, year one and last year. Pretty easy job to do.
