Hi Larry & Lavonne,
The good sam club is well worth joining, especially the Emergency Road service. I have used them and they respond quickly. If you brake down on the road they will send two trucks out, one to tow the vehicle with, and the other to tow your RV to safety or nearest camp ground. I think the fee is around $70.00 or so. This also covers all your vechiles, tire changes, out of fuel, keys locked in, etc. You also get discounts to their camp grounds and other items.
I strongly recommend them.

We are Good Sam members and the price is worth it for the discount you get on many campsites, if nothing else. Good Sam is also a lobbying organization for RVers in most states and nationally, I feel it's worth supporting. We also just joined a local Good Sam 5th Wheelers Chapter in Southern California. Nice group of people with which to share camping time.

Even for us north of the 48th Good Sam is a bargain - I would suggest almost a necessity!

Gotta agree with the majority, Good Sam is GOOD and we highly recommend the Emergency Road Service. Although we have been fortunate enough and haven't needed the road service we have seen it in action a number of times. Always fast and efficient.

Also highly recommend PassPort America.
BTW-If you were to join Passport America and happened to use CW335639 as a reference number Lorraine and I would appreciate it very much. No we are not salemen for PPA just members who get a $10 credit for referring new members.

We too have to say Good Sam's is GOOD! We have not had to use the emergency road service yet.

We joined for the discounts at campgrounds. I think it cost us around $36 for 3 years, plus they sent a certificate for a free night at a Good Sam campground for up to $25. So, 3 years cost us $11 so far, not counting the discounts used. Going to join emergency road service as soon as we start camping for season.

We have been Life Members of Good Sam since 1993. We've had the Emergency Road Service for at least 10 years. They are great - we had two flats in the middle of the boomdocks and they responded and kept checking on us. We enjoy discounts at Campgrounds, the monthly magazine is great and someday we will join a local club. They also have a network so if you are traveling and need help, you can call a member in that area. They offer many other services also.

To add my dos centavos, I like Good Sam Club, Escapees, Passport America, and Happy Camper Club. They are all valuable for different reasons and the return on investment is a quick recovery.

I don't use their road service, but those who do, as you have seen, are quite satisfied. I use Coach-Net for my road service.

we don't stay at many good sam parks, but one stay in Myrtle Beach paid for the entire membership, so we have kept it up.

Don't forget the discount at Luvs truck stops. I think it is 2 cents a gallon off for diesel and 5 for regular.

We joined Good Sam again after we acquired the Montana last fall. Haven't taken advantage of any of their programs yet, like road service, but the discounts and travel directory have benefitted us so far, and it is nice to have a network of people you can contact if you get in a bind.

Unless they have changed.. the discount at Love's is 2 cents on regular and 1 cent on diesel. Wish it was more, but any savings is great. You have to cash out with the cashier and hand over your good sam card before your credit card or cash. We have done it several times. I figure it pays for a treat now and then.

Sorry, I guess I was wrong, my mind sometimes fails me on those things, at least i remembered that there is a discount. That is a pretty good step for me at times. Thanks for the correction

Imp is right on the fuel discounts at Love's. Just renewed my Good Sam's and this was on the statement that came with my new card.

I received information in the mail a couple of weeks ago for the Good Sam RV Peace of Mind emergency benefits card. It said the price was $79.95, twenty dollars off the regular price. Is this the same thing or a different program?
