Cables for slides on HCs

Does anyone use lubricant on the cables for slide outs? I know not to use a petroleum based lube as it will attract dirt. Maybe a silicon based lube. Just wondering!! No problems so far but curious.

Cables are lubed when manufactured. Lube not required.

I do anyway, on the one cable slide on ours. Silicon on the outside only.

Never needs lube. Got better things to do than lube something that never needs it.

When I bought mine the Montana rep was there. He told me to rub beeswax on the cables every once in a while.

I haven't used any lube on our 2014 yet though bees wax noted above might work if you feel that it's needed. The cables don't slide anywhere(or shouldn't) so little need for lube, The chain is factory prelubed. A petroleum product might drip on the slide roof and damage the EPDM .

If it's a rattling, creaking or jingling noises that you are concerned with, then you need to do cable adjustments.
