Help PLEASE

Landing gear started to go up and then stopped, is it a fuse or is there a reset button somewhere. Thanks for all information. I just don't have time to search for the threads on this.

Prairepoodle, there is a fuse. It is inside the front compartment, in the large red wire from a terminal block toward the switch for the landing gear. It is inside a black enclosure with a piece of yellow tape around it, I think. You will need to open the black enclosure and pull off the clips on both ends of the fuse. It is a 30amp. fuse. Post back if you have trouble finding it. You should be able to tell if it is melted apart.

I trust that it was a blown fuse and that you have the landing gear up. You also have a wrench to raise/lower the landing gear. There are a number of things that could cause a fuse to blow, one of which would be a bind in the landing gear somewhere. By using the wrench, you can tell if there is a bind or not. If there is no bind, then you could have had a power spike, temporary bind (something jammed), etc. But, you always have the wrench in a pinch.

A little known fact is that there is a hex fitting under the seal on the end of the hydrolic pump opposite the reservoir where you can raise and lower the landing legs with a cordless drill using the proper sized socket.

I think you are referring to the slide, and not the landing gear. The landing gear have a long handled wrench that is used to raise and/or lower the landing legs. You access the manual mechanism through the LP tank enclosure.

There is also an inline fuse for the front jacks. Follow the wire from the back of the jack motor to the source and you should find the inline fuse holder. I believe it's a 30 amp glass cartridge fuse. Good luck.

Is it a fixed wrench, as in 'attached' to the rig? Where would you find it?

I don't know about the later models, but on my 1999 unit it's the same tool that's used to lower the spare tire. It was located in the storage compartment with the tool used for the rear stabilizers.

That would be the tool. It looks like a round socket with slots cut out of it.

Hey all, in talking about your landing legs, maybe it is just mine, but they really seem to move up and down much slower than expected. Is this a common thing, or could mine have a problem? I have the 05 with the latest pump that should not have the previous problems. Comments please??

My 2005 3400 won't set any speed records, but I don't have any frame of reference as this is our first 5er. It seems like it is working properly, just not a high speed unit.
