You are soooo correct David, and very few folks realize the truth about the Better Business Bull#%%@, or I mean the BBB.

My little local contracting business was always bidding against a extremely large residential contracting company. I consistently beat their bids by 50% and provided much higher quality products! Had a older resident reject my window replacement bid of $4,200 for her house and sign with the large company for over $12,000! When I asked her why she said they were members of the BBB and I was not.

The BBB quoted me just under $300 a month for membership. The large competitor I am sure paid much more but never had an "unresolved" complaint. I knew better because their customers would constantly call me to fix their mistakes.

Angie's List is the same scam. To be listed you have to pay that company huge bucks and it doesn't matter if you are a good contractor or not, they just want their money.

I guess that kind of got off subject....

Joe, I found the same with Angie's list, I bailed on them after they kept wanting more money for more 'features'
Back to Topic, just think how bad the RV service would be without the small amount of training they get.
It is always a costly gamble when you have to get RV repairs, like the old joke: What do you call the person that finished last on tests in medical school? Doctor..

Yes we know it takes a lot of very hard work to become a PHD. I know lots of them. Certainly no offense meant.

I found the post a bit offensive at first. I proudly display my ASE Master Automobile Technician certificate. It didn't come easily. It took many hours of hands on experience and studying to achieve it. But then I thought about some of the technicians I've encountered and worked with over the years. Even had to hire one at work-against my strong objections. I couldn't trust him to fix a sandwich properly. He didn't make his 90 days....... As with any profession, there are good professionals and bad. The secret is to find the good ones and follow them where ever they may work if possible. This is true for doctors, plumbers, electricians, mechanics etc. Find one you can trust and stick with them. My theory is and always will be this; There are people who can take a test and pass with flying colors and not be able to practice the subject matter, there are others that do not do well with written tests and are masters at their craft. The trouble today is there is so much emphasis put on degrees, but it only proves you passed the test, not that you know what you're doing.
