Warranty Issues Resolved?

Finally had my appointment at my selling dealer today (Lazy Days). They worked on it the whole 8 hours but due to Keystone closing down completely until January 5th, they were only pre-approved for $200.00 in warranty work, which I am confident they went over that.

1. Checked for recalls, including awning recall. None found. Checked all the slides for proper adjustment (they claimed that should be done every 6 months).
2. 8 or 9 staples now pushing up on both sides of roof. They will prepare estimate and see if Keystone will authorize.
3. Fresh water pump wouldn't pull from fresh water tank. The tech said he filled the tank to 1/3 full, bled a lot of air out of the lines, and it pumps great. So far tonight it is still working.
4. Direct TV not working in bedroom. To summarize, a Direct TV tech tested everything a couple months ago and said it was a cable problem. Lazy Day's tech checked all connections and cables and all was good. Put their Direct TV receiver on bedroom outlet and it worked great. So as I have tried to convince Direct TV for the last 8 months, they sold me a new defective receiver.
5. Furnace doesn't always ignite. They turned it on and it ignited. So I will continue to battle to get this issue repaired.
6. LED light out. Defective and they had to order one.
7. Short rear emergency window handle broke off. Even though I told them 6 months ago when I made the appointment that these short ones are hard to find, they still waited and now they had to order one.
8. Solid surface sink cover starting to warp. They will order a new one.

All in all I received about the level of service I expected. Depending of what Keystone says reference the roof staples, I may end up taking it to Goshen for that. Lazy Days seems to think the whole roof should be replaced.

I am going to call Keystone myself later in January. The furnace issue has to be correctly repaired so we will see how they handle that.

The DW spent most of her time in there, she would have been the one sitting by herself coughing and sneezing with her second round of flu. I walked around a lot and ended up probably bugging the RV tech that was working on our rig.

Too bad we didn't run into each other. I would have bought you lunch on the Front Porch (we had extra tickets).....

J and C glad you are getting the repairs done, what a hassle to go through. BUT it will be done soon, hopefully, and you can get back to enjoying life on the road.

Jim,
Is Kinro still a good source for windows and Parts? if so you might call them, I had good luck getting a couple replacement emergency windows for my rig. My bedroom had a push-out with no screen, I ordered and changed out a nice slider with screen.
My office window was the same deal.

I will get the number. When they obtain the handle, and hopefully the warped sink cover, I will probably just drive up there and get the items. The handle doesn't look very difficult to install.

Good luck getting it in at Goshen. I emailed Mark Kroll and he had Candy call us today. She informed us they wouldn't fix it at their facility because everything could be fixed at a dealer. Never mind that it has been to two different dealers, two times at each, for a total of 3 1/2 weeks. Both of them told us they couldn't fix our problem, because it was a wiring issue and, due to Keystone's failure to use wiring schematics, there is no way to locate the problem. We feel like we've been banging our heads against a brick wall. Just hope we don't return to find the danged thing burned to the ground. We have managed to get a looooong list of small items repaired, but don't feel like we are making much progress, since things seem to get added to the list as fast as they are ticked off. Way to go Keystone!!! Keep building quality products.

Steve, you may be correct, they may not repair it in Goshen and insist on me taking it to a dealer. If they do I guess I will have to try to find a good dealer within a reasonable distance from where we will be camped this summer. I was going to call them this week but things got away from us so I will probably contact them next week.
