Are we crazy for considering a new 2015 3720FB?

As we spend more time in our Montana, we're thinking we want the half bath and larger kitchen. The 3720FB fits our wish list. However from our Montana experience and yours on the forum postings, quality control seems to be a big issue and they all have the same problems. Some have the same problems year after year.
Service seems to be an issue also. When I had it in for extended warranty service, CW in Chattanooga had it for over a month and only fixed a few things on the list. They said they repaired the tank valves, level indicators, etc. but......
We keep it parked 90% of the time south of Macon GA. It's towed very little.
Are we making a mistake? Thank you for your input. It's a big investment.

Don't forget, we post problems on the forum, so that's what you'll read. Nobody makes a post saying, "we made a two week 1,500 mile trip and everything worked."

After over 25,000 miles of towing and 370 nights in our 2008 3000RK I can say we have had only a couple of very minor issues which I can't even remember now.

I think that as long as you approach this with your eyes open you will be fine. As others have correctly said, many posts are about problems as the authors are seeking assistance with resolution via the huge knowledge base that is the MOC.
If a new purchase better fits your needs and it is within your budget, go for it! RVs are sometimes (seemingly) money pits that you throw money down a hole but more often than not they are a great source of good times and adventure. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

I had my 2013 3750 nearly two years and had very few problems. The problems I had were all take care of quickly and at no cost to me. Everything is prone to problems, even brick houses

Remember a short time back when Toyota was all over the news for "accelerator" problems? Who is the number one Auto Seller today? Toyota! 99.999% of Toyota's can have no problems but let that handful of cars have the accelerator pedal get stuck on the floor carpeting and it is all over the news! We bought our 2013 3750FL in June and took seven trips in it in five months. I just brought it home from the shop and here is what we had fixed:
1. The exterior door hydraulic controller came off the door, they put rivets on it to secure it.
2. The exterior LED lights were burnt out, replaced.
3. The electrical relay switch to the hydraulic system would "break and reset" every time we used the slide outs or used "auto level" and "auto retract." They upgraded the breaker.
4. Entry door adjustment to open and close easier.

We are waiting on a new microwave, the internal latch mechanism does not work. A new bedroom door, the slide out crunched it. And a new air mattress for the front.

Overall, we are extremely pleased with our Montana and the day we get home, we are already to leave for our next trip. We have never had any tire issues. Never had any plumbing issues. Never had any Heat or AC issues. Never any towing issues.

Therefore, don't worry about the "problems" people post on here, we all will have the occasional problem. After all, it's a HOUSE on wheels!

The sheer enjoyment we've experienced from using each and every one of our 4 Montana models individually thus far has certainly exceeded any inconvenience caused by those said four units combined!

I think most of us experience those same doubts to a degree each time we look to trade up. I say life is short, enjoy, and go for it!

Agree with the last few posters, we went from a 2010 Montana to a 2012 SOB, and just inked a deal to purchase a 2015 SOB. Each move has been to a bigger unit with more options and a different floor plan. Sort of our Christmas present to ourselves, even tho we won't get it until spring.

I am still a full time beginner, but we are almost at 2 years and our second Montana. Between the two Montana's we have towed them over 30,000 miles. We literally have had 4 or 5 minor issues that have to be fixed by a dealer.

So almost 700 days/nights spent in our Montana's, in all types of weather, and all those miles, I think it has performed pretty well. Heck, we bought a new house several years ago that cost a lot more than a Montana and it had more than 4 or 5 minor issues to fix.

We had a couple of major problems with our rig in the beginning and Keystone was good about taking care of them. Since then, nothing you wouldn't expect has happened. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new one if it weren't for the fact that you still can't purchase all of the mods we've added and of course there is the matter of the cost.

We just got a new 3582RL in July our third Keystone, two Mountineers and one Montana. We love the new rig but the best accessory we got for free, the fine group on this forum. So just go for it and keep reading here on the MOG.

We purchased our 2013 358rlt Mountaineer in 2012 from Dandy Rv In Anniston, Al. Although we have had a few problems, Dandy Rv and Keystone have so far never let us down. Even when out of warranty, keystone took care of us. I truly feel it makes a big difference what dealer you buy from. I can't recommend Dandy Rv enough. They are great. Just buy it and enjoy it.

This is my 3rd Montana ,a 2004 a 2012 and my new 2015 if they were Junk I would not be Dumb enough to spend 70K on this last one or maybe I am a just gluten for punishment,NAHHHHHH my 2012 was NEVER in the shop once just had a toilet problem which I fixed myself and the 2015 has never been to the shop yet either but AGAIN you guessed it another Toilet problem And I took care of that as well other than that could not be happier

Naturally, you will hear more about problems than flawless operation, it's the nature of the beast. Montana has a good reputaion, so check out the dealer carefully, and go for it.

We have a 2014 3582RL. We have had some minor issues but have no regrets on the purchase. We have had 3 previous 5ers and they all had minor problems. We love everything on this one, especially the automatic levelers. I say go for it and enjoy.
