Tire Pressure Monitoring systems

I am in the market for a tire pressure monitoring system. What is the best and best for the buck? I am thinking about the exterior valve cap type. Any real reason to use the internal ones?

TST here as well. The external are just fine unless you don't like the looks of big lolly pops on your valve stems. Internal batteries last alot longer, but you'll have the cost of dismount and mount to get them installed.

I have the Pressure Pro System and I would buy it again. There are cheaper systems but you get what you pay for. Our system has worked great for four years now without a glitch. "Lollipops" on the valve stem? Doesn't bother me.

TST here as well. Had a problem with a unit going bad and they overnighted a replacement to me.

Many stories here and elsewhere about how TST took care of an issue. After the sale its the service that counts and TST has passed that test.

ps - The TST valve caps come with an external cap that requires a special wrench to remove them making them Theft Resistant.

I'm not paranoid about getting robbed so I just took them off and now my "lollipops" are much smaller.

TST here, and I replace the baterries about every other year. Buy them at Radio Shack. Had a prblem with the main unit and they replaced it promptly. A good product and would not be without it.

We had pressure pro and switched to TST when TST came out with the sensors that allow you to add or subtract air without taking the sensors off. Both companies make a great product and have good customer service we just change altitudes and temperatures a lot and I'm lazy and don't want to keep taking the sensors off to change pressure.

TST here as well. Love being able to see both pressure and internal tire temperature.

TST has great customer service. We lost our charger on the way to Quartzsite AZ. TST had a booth at the RV show and we stopped by to buy a replacement. They gave us one for free and they told us if we lost it again they would send it to us for free. When we got the system my wife was setting it up and ran into issues and called them. They were great to deal with and walked her through the process. We have over 3K miles with the system and love it. We have both types of sensors and they work well.

We have the TST external sensors. Over three years and 7000 miles, batteries still OK. I have rubber stems, only one time have i had any problem and it was my fault, i didnt get the sensor on tight and it worked loose. My batteies are not replaceable so i remove sensors when stationary for anything over a month. The brochure says up to five years battery life then send them back for new batteries at a considerable cost. I am the guy who lost the monitor somehow and the company sent me a new monitor at no cost. I am still impressed with this company!

TST 507 system for us and has saved us from driving with a tire going flat. User changeable batteries on the transmitters are a plus and highly recommend you use metal tire valves so they do not crack under the strain of the extra weight of the transmitters.
