HELP! GENERATOR OR NO GENERATOR?

We are newbies, both to the forum and to RV'ing. We are considering a model 3650 and would be fulltiming. Plan on boondocking at times. Do we need to get a generator? What size do we need? What has your experience been with them? Also posted this topic in the boondocking forum. Thanks for the help!
