Check the fire report and it said just about out. Would like to get an on the ground report from one of you if anybody is up there.

We're south of Susanville, by a bunch, but smoke is still obliterating the Sierras here in Gardnerville, NV.

Here's a great site to visit if you want up-to-date weather & smoke conditions. Just click on the state and figure out the area of the state you want to know about. It's updated about every two minutes:

We watched fire personnel battle a fire today in the hills overlooking Bodega Bay. They had fire trucks coming in the area for about 30 minutes and then a plane came over the hills from approximately the Santa Rosa area. The plane made a two passes over the fire and then on the third and forth pass it dropped the orange fire "stuff". The fire went out pretty fast after that thank goodness.

We're at Lake Tahoe, some days the basin is full of smoke and you can't see across the lake, and then the next day it's just a little hazy. Depends on the wind I guess.
