Doesn't the Morryde have nylon discs? I would wonder it these would wear out over time. I have seen the trailair and 5th airbornes that look more durable (and probably have the price tags to go with it).
In any case, anything would be better than the all metal pin box like what I have, but since retiring, my pockets are more shallow and the best I've done is get air bags installed at my rear axle.

I love my 5th Airborne,9 year, nothing better tan riding on air. What I liked about the 5th A/B over TrailAir is how much cleaner it looks and the air bag is protected from the sun.

Art the Mor Ryde pin box does have nylon discs. They did not wear on our 06 3400 2005 to 2012.

I can see were that might be a issue however the hitch is covered by a bed cover when not towing and by the Rv overhang when towing.

Lots of opinions and have looked at Mor ryde and the lippert air system. Will the travel air help with chucking? I see lippert has a product for that like Mor ryde. Lippert says it will but trying to figure out best way to go. Thanks.

I have had the trailer saver hitch and the Mor Ryde pin box for three years. I think it's a great combination.
We had the long screw fix just after we bought this Montana. I felt at the time this was just a temporary fix. So far the the fix is holding which I attribute to the above combination.
Anyway the ride is great. "Is the camper still back there?"

Chip, I don't have much chucking but when you do it's like I don't care for it. Just thinking down the road when I really hit the road for months at a time.

Have the 5th Airborne Sidewinder and it does a nice job although I don't have any personal experience to make a comparison. Also helps the turning radius with a short bed truck. The one problem with our setup is the nose of the trailer rides a bit high which increases our overall height to about 13'6" with the front A/C. This leaves the rear bumper a little closer to the pavement than I like.

I just went from the Lippert Tri-Glide Pin & Reese to a MORryde Pin and Comfort Ride hitch.
While I liked the Air Bag on the Tri-Glide, I didn't like the slamming for an aft during stops and starts and constantly added air to the bag, plus it's an 18K pin and our SOB is at or a little over that.
The Comfort Ride uses cellular construction bumpers that can be added or removed depending on pin weight.
For us it's been a great improvment in ride and comfort. And no air bags to worry about.

My Mor Ryde has been great. Pin box with air bags have a problem in sunny spots like Arizona. Most 5ers have changed to Mor Ryde for that reason. Those that have air bag systems have covers for them while parked. In researching when we bought, the Mor Ryde was better in reducing chucking
