mileage drop after recall?

Soooooo, I had the latest recall done for the recalibration for emissions and driveability issues. F350 runs great. The "sometimes hesitation" when leaving a stop sign seems to have gone away. I don't have much mileage on the truck since getting the recall done so it may be my imagination that mileage has dropped by 0.4 mph for in town driving. Anyone notice anything on their ford truck? John

Nothing noticeable yet. But I have not put a lot of miles on mine since I had it done.

had mine done . i was getting 22-23mpg on I25 in colorado from parker to colorado springs doing 75mph with no tow vehicle. that in it self is an improvement of a few miles per gal. I hope it stays that way . and was using cruise control. i am sure that mileage is going to really bottom out after we hook up the 5th wheel and start towing lol. on 11,000 miles on the 2013 right now.

It's great to get these replies. Will try to give it time to see what happens, especially getting some freeway time as well. John

Get mine done next Monday. I hope my MPG doesn't go down, I have never even came close to 22-23 MPG on the highway while non-towing. Heck, maybe mine will go up!

JandC on my 2008 i was lucky to get 15-16 on the highway without towing and that was a F250. this 2013 F250 has gotten very good fuel mileage that i have been happy with since i got it. bigger engine, newer model, better mileage. go figure.

Interesting read about DEF equipped diesels. Using DEF actually helps increase the fuel mileage by moving emmisions controls to the exhaust instead of the engine.

Learned some new things by reading this article.
