Met DQDick and his sweet wife Joyce

Dick and Joyce are staying here at Saddle Mountain RV Park for a week or so, we got together yesterday for an outing in the Desert, it was another beautiful day here. The very nice couple from southern Kansas are super folks, they will always be at the top of our good friends list. I think they are headed to 'Q' today.
We went to some off road locations, an old mine, and a camp where illegals stayed, as evidenced by the incredible amount of trash and old discarded clothing, back-packs they left, it was amazing. We had never seen that before. Actually yesterday when Sue and I were working on finding the 250 Caches on Eagle-eye road, we came across 3 other such 'camps' I recorded the GPS readings and took photo's, I will email the Border patrol with the info. I would suggest the very least they could do is pile the junk in one pile. It is sad.

Our day:

The only unpleasant thing about the day, this was only about 1/8 of the trash we saw there:

X2 on a wonderful day. As we all know MOC folks are great people, but Ozz and Sue are really special. Had a great time, hope we get to do it again before we have to leave.

We met them in Goshen at the rally, nice folks. Maybe we'll meet you somewhere someday, Ozz. Larry

Hopefully after all the hugs and stuff, the Ozz and the Ice Cream Guy went back with trash bags and policed up the desert.
Cheers,
Mike

Mike, we (Sue and I) made all kinds of excuses as to why we did not pick up all the trash: We woud have to have a dump truck to get it all, it's probably full of spiders, scorpions, bla bla bla.. the truth is that if I were the type of person I would like to be, I would have picked up as much as I could in the truck. I was lazy, wanted to move on and that is the truth of the matter.
The day before when Sue and I were making the Geocaching run on that road, we did pick up a trash bag full; targets, boxes, six-pack cardboard, bottles and junk like that.
Jay, Sue and I both carry, I open carry here, I was talking to a highway Patrol guy with my Glock on my belt. Sue carries her J-frame S&W in a fanny pack.
Today we are going out on the same road to work on the 250 Caches (Eagle-eye road run) but I am taking the 12 ga. and a bandolier of 00 shells in addition to the Glock.

The trash thing was a poke. I knew you would be armed to the teeth. Doubt the BP is a factor, way too much area to cover.

Mike, we just got back, dang! today we did 181 'finds' that is, we stopped every tenth of a mile, got out found the cache, recorded it, got back in the truck and did it again..181 times.
We are tired and sore!
Saw nothing moving in the Desert, one car went by every 1/2 hr or so, if that. Nobody around for 40-60 miles in most of the journey. We did pick up 2 trash bags of bottles and trash Any within about 4 truck-lengths.
The computer place called It's FIXED! $69.00 bucks. He said it is a virus going around that wipes stuff off the computer screen.
Yep.

The sad part is there are sites like this all over the area and the picture covers less than 1/4 of the site. It would take a small dump truck to clean each area, probably just before they used it again. Here's a link to some more pictures, you'll notice Javelina appears to have been on the menu: http://s1221.photobucket.com/albums/...Dick/Illegals/
