August in June

It was 101 degrees in Wichita Falls today. Expected to be there all week. Like August in June. Wonder what August will be like.

I thought it was spring in June. Has been over 100 last 4 days here in Mississippi. Got me afraid of August. Wish I was in the mountains all summer.

Colorado Springs set a record yesterday and likely will again today and we'll get the added bonus of smoke from the Arizona fires. I'll bet Ozz is happy to be in Estes Park where it will be a high of 80 today and 74 tomorrow.

Strange year so far. 30 miles north of Dallas and we were still wearing jackets and using blankets at our grandson's baseball games in May with cool temps and high winds. Not normal at all. And now suddenly we are in mid summer temps with highs around 100. May be another hot one as it was 2 years ago when we had many days at 100+.
Leaving for mountains of Colorado in a week and a half at 8,600' for 3 weeks so we get a temporary relief. Temps normally range from mid 40's morning to mid 70's afternoon that time of year. Crisp mornings, but shorts usually come out about 10 am. Looking forward to it.

We're breaking records in eastern NC. Hot again all this coming week and no rain for the last month. My grass crunches when I walk on it.

Come to Northern California where it did not even reach 70 yesterday. Today looks to be more of the same with showers.

Last weekend we got a taste of summer with 80 degree weather, people here at work are already complaining about it. I wonder what they are going to do when it rolls around to August and it get even warmer than that.
Some people are just never happy....

After a entire life of working in the extreme heat and cold, I chose to escape to a place like this. I encourage all who can to do the same to do so. I have a spot right across from me

Looked at the weather channel and at 08:30 this AM it feels like 92 at my stick house. Here in Hungry Horse the high and low today will be 63/49 and tomorrow 57/45 with rain. The shorts and sandals are put away.

Dadgum, we're sittin here watching the tropics. With all this heat, I suspect a bad hurricane year may be in store for us.
