HELP! Where is the furnace on 2003 3280??????

We are loading and getting ready to leave for our first real trip and my DH can't find the furnace. We tried it out on our first test in Sept and it worked fine. We had the LP filled and now it won't turn on. Do we have to light something? Can't find the furnace.

Look for the vent on the outside of your'e rig. Does the fan come on at all? If it does and does not ignite you might have had some mud duober bees get up in there, had it happen to mine and the furnace would not come on.

I have the 2003 3280 and just inside the door on the left is a vent the furnace is behind that vent. On the out side of the door is another vent that air comes out of when it is running.

The water heater and the furnace are in the same place we have had that vent off and that is where our furnace is. Not very good to get to, Did you check your breakers?

Breakers are on. Just noticed that the switch on hot water heater is 'frozen' in the off position. No furnace - no hot water. We're not leaving here tomorrow........... I'm so sad.

You do not have to manually light the furnace, once the blower comes on it evacuates the air chamber before it will open the gas valve for ignition. If the blower is not coming on, then there is also on most models a atc automotive type fuse on the control board, it might be blown if it has one.

So the ATC fuse is okay to use for the 2 fuses that are 30 amp? Says on side of the panel "Use only Littlefuse 257"

HI,
I would check to see that you have the propane turned on and that the gas stove will light first. You may have turned on the propane to fast and when that happens the auto shutof in the propane tank will prevent the gas from flowing.
Also you dont mention if the blower starts. If the blower for the furnace does not start at all then I would check the fuses and battery to make sure the fuses arent blown and that you have battery power (or shore power if plugged in).
hope this helps
Merv

Thanks Merv. It was blown fuses - but we don't know why. I guess that will come later. We'll keep some extra fuses available.
