New Montana-New RV'r

HI---Hubby and I just purchased a 3000RK Montana. This is our first RV! We are so excited---but---need to learn a lot!!! Primary use will be for showing our little Pomeranians. Intend on camping and getting away from the day to day life--and meeting new people. Happy to find this forum, and look forward to the many new people and gaining knowledge regarding RV LIFE!!!!!

John and Sue Landry---and POMS

Welcome John and Sue. This is THE PLACE to make new friends and learn ALL about Montanas and RVing. Kansas has added several new members in the last few days. Just goes to show you there are a lot of neat Jayhawkers out there. (I was born in southeastern Kansas).
Happy trails......................

What a way to break into the RVing world. Yes, there is a learning curve. I think that is half the fun. I would encourage your making check lists and diligently using them for a long long time. There are so many thing to hook up and turn on and off. Sequence many times is very important, like making sure there is water in your hot water heater BEFORE you flip the on switch.

If you are like the rest of us, you will make mistakes, but you hope they are small ones. There is a thread about the worst messups that might be worth reading.

Welcome to the Forum and to Montana Land. It is a place to find a great bunch of folks sharing great information about a great line of RVs. You will be a pro in no time.

John and Sue, welcome to the forum!

You know, RVs can be useful for many situations. The original owners of our Montana have two children, both of whom shoot competitively. They bought the unit with the idea of traveling to the competitions and staying in it in addition to their travels. They quickly found that the kids needed to rest on the way to meets and the fifth wheel was not convenient for that so they went to a motorhome instead. Their loss was our good fortune!

Hope showing thePomeranians and staying in the 3000RK goes better for you!

Welcome to the good life. As I'm sure you have found out, there's a lot to learn about RV's. I just found out about MOC and it seems to be a great place to obtain knowledge and info. There is another good forum at Trailer Life. Just search on "Trailer Life" then select forum. These web sites are a wonderful way to solve problems or answer questiions. It seems no matter what your problem is or what your question is someone out there can solve the problem or answer the question.
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting "holy @*$#, what a ride."
