And here I thought staying at a KOA was luxury. If it has 50amp service, wifi, trees and water, I am in.

We said earlier that we would report on Fiesta Key RV Park in Long Key, FL. It would not qualify in our estimation as a luxury resort. It was purchased by Encore a few months ago and is in need of extensive repairs which are in progress but far from complete. Guess the high price is high because that's what the market will bear in that area. Based on our experience there, we would return if the opportunity presented itself, but we wouldn't rate this park above or below others in the Keys.

Great for people that like the ocean beach. My idea of a beach is a fresh water lake in the mountains of Colorado on national forest land at 1/2 price. To each his/her own.

Has anyone been to The Great Outdoors in Titusville, FL? I've been intrigued by that one. Almost went this past Thanksgiving, too, but we sold the fifth wheel before Thanksgiving.

I agree with Topsail Hill and Disneys Ft. Wilderness. My only other favorite place is certainly not luxury, but it's beautiful. It's a Corps of Engineers CG on Lake Lanier, 20 minutes from our house. Actually all the COE CGs are nice, you've just got to know which sites not to pick.

Getting harder to figure out which parks/camp grounds are resorts and which are just a parking spot with hookups. If you want to be on the beach one can go Galveston Island and be right on the beach for just $20.. http://www.galvestonislandstatepark....d-camping.html But we do have a lot of resorts one of which is in Canton Tx and a good place to do the flea markets there. http://millcreekranchresort.com/ Mill Creek does lots of extra stuff from music and drinks on Fridays to free BBQ and free shuttle bus to the flea markets. Only average $50 a nite but very nice....

Wondering about the Williston Crossing RV Park-- With all the pine trees around the sites did you experience any problems with sap getting on the RV or the TV?

We stayed there about 6 years ago as we have friends who are fulltime residents in the park. It was great. People super friendly. Sites plenty big and easy to get in to. Nice pools and tennis courts. Always something going on. Not sure about the rates as we rented from our friends neighbor who was on the road. Jim

I think I've found a new one: Anchor Down RV resort in Dandridge, TN. http://www.anchordownrvresort.com They just opened in 2014 and are still working on it, but it looks beautiful so far and has gotten 99% very positive ratings. We're booked for April 4 - 11 this Spring. We've got a lake front site with a fireplace. I'll post again afterwards to let you all know if it's as good as I'm hearing.

Gulf Water RV in Fort Myers Beach, Florida isn't bad either. We just got set up this afternoon on our site. Will be here until May 1st. The site is so big that after the DW guided me back into the site there was still 30' behind the Montana and enough room in front to disconnect and leave the truck in front of the rig. After all that we can have patio room and still park three vehicles along the other side. I have never been in a more landscaped huge site!

We have reservations for the last full week of March. Took a deal of 7 nights for the price of 5. We too took a site overlooking the lake with a fireplace. Site #53. Sorry we will miss you by about a week.

Got a number of them here in Yuma. The Palms even has a concert venue where performers from the Casino's play. Others here have golf courses and a new one just opening has a state of the art bowling alley and in one everyone has their own orange tree.
