opps home too soon

well made it back to Santa Fe Home for the first time in 18 Mo., thought we gauged the weather to not freeze but 14 tonight so back to the Montana this AM to winterize, not going to gamble a freeze with the temp and winds even with the house heater set at 55.
First time winterizing so we'll see how it goes, using antifreze.

Good luck, it should go well, it's not hard. Being great fans of NM (Joyce went to school there) we never fail to be amazed at how much colder it is than Arizona. I know it's the altitude mostly, but it never seems that down hill to get over here.

Don't forget the black tank flush and the convenience center outdoor shower faucet on your winterizing list, they are easy to forget. We do it twice a year usually and if I remember our 3400, it seems like it took a little over two gallons not counting the washer. If you have a washer, I think it took about a gallon more. Also, we leave our low point drains open, both of them near the convenience center and the one under the rear at the fresh water tank. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask, there are a myriad of experienced "northerners" who have been there, done that.

Sorry you had to return home, hope it was all OK there. We are headed that way.. home..
I guess you guys have a long list of things to do there to ready the house for whatever your plans are.
