Refer alarm on double doors

We have had frequent problems with the refer door alarm going off indicating the doors are not closed. Most of the time, we simply didn't close the doors tight enough.

However, I have had the alarm go off at 3:00am when it hadn't been touched for several hours. Also, I have had the alarm go off while traveling. For instance, it went off on a trip Friday. Returning on the same roads Sunday, it didn't.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,

We had this same problem. Here was what we posted re our answer:
We are still under warranty. We have taken our Montana in twice to have our Norcold double door refrigerator fixed to no avail. The problem WAS we would shut the doors on the refrigerator and in a few minutes they would start beeping. We would then have to shove on the doors. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes a few minutes later they would start beeping again. Every time we would arrive at a new destination the doors would be beeping. We asked Lenn Malm, owner of Oak Park RV to look at it under warranty. He is next door to Phoenix RV Park in Salem. He walked over and after examining the doors said he thought he knew what the problem was. He came back the next day with plastic washers he had made with a slit on one side. He lifted each door and slid the washers onto the pin that holds the doors (he wanted to avoid taking the doors off). Voila, they work perfectly now. We just shut the doors and they snap shut. He said it was so easy -- NO CHARGE.
Hope this helps.
