Glenn & Lorraine

Just wondering if they are okay. I haven't been on very much but noticed that Glenn hasn't posted recently either.

Anyone know if their okay or just out of area for connection?

They were in North Carolina and left yesterday morning for the Virginia Ralley at Walnut Hills Campground near Staunton, Va.
I saw a message last night from them, but none today.

What! I can't miss a couple hours without someone calling in a missing Monty report???

Actually I was busy doing the rally thing. Meeting all these new wannabe Monty owners as well as our Alaska members. Kimmrg and Gyro arrived today while Pud & Janie and Clint & Blanche arrived yesterday shortly after us. These are the MOC wannabes from South Carolina. I say wannabe as both couples have been having problems registering. I will be taking them under my wing before the week is over and they will be full fledged members by the end of the rally.

BTW-thanks awaywego, route 288 was a tremendous shortcut and saved me a lot of time and fuel.

Don't apologize, Sue. Glenn appreciates your concern, I'm sure. Family is supposed to look out for each other.

Seriously, I do appreciate the concern

But if it's a matter of BSing some MOCers face to face or here on the forum. Those of you that have met me know I do love to BS and face to face one on one is my kinda BS'n. I'm only on here now because the other MOCers are still in bed.

Again, thanks Sue for the concern. It really is appreciated.

Well, I was just laying in bed and couldn't sleep because my mind could just think about a 1,000 things that I wanted to lookup on the forum. So I got up and now I can't think of a one of them. LOL

ROTFL!!

It's easy to understand that when someone doesn't hear from Glenn, it's probably time to post an "Amber Alert!"

I'll have you folks know that Glenn's pointed us toward a great burger & fries joint in Staunton, VA. And a whole bunch of neat flea markets, and other pointers, the past two days.

Kimmrg and I ate way too well the past two days.

Between the DPO, ("Depot" ) Restaurant, for steak, (for me,) chicken, and shrimp, (for Kim,) and the "Five Guys" burger & fries joint, (where, thanks to Glenn, we only ordered a single SMALL order of fries, and found it really could have fed four!) Kim and I need to double check our GCVW!

It's really beautiful, here.

Miss all who couldn't make it. Hoping to catch you in the next few get togethers, though!

Steve

As my tee shirt says
Life is Simple
Eat, Sleep, Camp

I of course put the emphasis on Eat

If you love burgers and fries and never been to a "Five Guys" you are truely missing something. Even there "Little Burger" is big and their small order of fries that comes in an eight ounce cup will serve a family of four.

Been having a great time here at Walnut Hills. Last night after an unexpected unforecast shower we had a bonfire. Had lengthy discussions on everything from our travels to flushing the black tank. Even had one rig discover that their galley tank had it's own valve. They've had the rig a year and didn't know about the hidden handle.

Enuff for now, gotta make breakfast and get back to the rally thing.

I can understand not knowing about the galley valve. But not knowing about the hiddie hole, Oh man, thats messed up!!! Imagine going all that time and not knowing about the hiddie hole!!!LOL What did they say when they found out about it? And did you ask them if they knew about the pointy thingy? LOL So glad to hear you are having a great time. Burgers and fries sound MAJOR. We are leaving for the Colorado River tomorrow. It is suppose to be 105 degrees there. But we are use to the heat. And we now have that great A/C. I just hope it works properly. Kathi

Wasn't that galley tank a little full? Guess they must have been eating out a lot. Sounds good to me!

Shoot, we were at Walnut Hills for five weeks in August, 2003, and we somehow missed Five Guys! Can't believe I missed that!

Gyro, have you folks been down to Lexington yet? Great history there. Stonewall Jackson's home and burial place/monument. Beautiful old homes. The Natural Bridge is worth the trip, too. Be sure to see George Washington's initials carved in that bridge. That whole area is one of our very favorite areas to visit. We will someday be back there.

Hope you folks are having a great time there at Walnut Hills! Tell everyone 'hi' for us.
