Recommended Water Pump

I want to carry a replacement pump on the next outing. I see some Shurflow recommendations but a lot of price difference.Shurflo 4048153E75 Electric Water Pump


and

Shurflo Revolution 4008-101-E65

seem to get the most.



What say you?

I've had the Shurflo 4048 pump for a number of years and have had excellent service from it. I don't see a need to carry a spare as they are very reliable. Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but the reliability is worth it for us.

Thanks. The plan is to replace the very noisy OEM pump in the 5r now. I've tried most of the suggestions to quiet it down except replace it. I'll use the OEM as a spare in the parts bucket. I've ordered the 4048 which will be here in a couple of days.

I’d also add a brass one Check valve on output side of the water pump..when the internal check valve on the water pump sticks city water will back flow thru water pump and overfill fresh water tank.

The added check valve will prevent that headache.
