Smile Slide rub marks on floor

I have a 2016 Montana and have always heard a "rub" noise when moving the kitchen slide out. I got it out of winter storage and now notice what appears to be rub marks on the floor. Is that common? Or is it coming from the slide and is not actually a rub or wear mark? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sometimes it can be some debris on the floor under the slide. Ensure it is clean under there. If clean, it could be the slide out of adjustment but probably not this possibility. What I found is how Keystone built the "slide bar" that is designed to rub directly on the floor. Apparently they use staples or other insufficient means to construct this piece. As the components wear through normal use, nails or screws or whatever wear through and make direct contact with the flooring. Those wear marks may turn into gouges as mine did.

My fix was to get a 3' x 3' x 1/8" lexan and jay in on the floor in the middle of the slide. The slide will rub and gouge on that instead of the floor.

It is unbelievable that they make such a crude mechanism. Obviously designed to get through warranty and not much beyond.

Sounds like a good idea the lexan stays in place while slide runs across it without moving then when slide is out you can store it?
