Furnace

Hi all. We own a 3610RL. We spend time in Yellowstone National Park. Sometime it gets chilly overnight, go figure!

We usually set our furnace at 60 at night. Sometimes it can get into the upper 30’s low 40’s in the morning. In the morning it can take an hour of furnace time to reach temp of 68. Due to outside temps, do you think this is normal due to cold weather or not?

I wondered if there is a filter inside the convenience wall that needs cleaning or replacing.

Thanks in advance

I have not timed how long it takes to warm up but that sounds about right. We set our thermostat at 50-55. I crank up the heat a little before we get up and then fire up the oven for biscuits. If we have hookups, I will also turn on the fireplace which really speeds the warm up.

No filters in these systems and the manufacturers say don’t retrofit any filters because it impedes the air flow which will cause excessive heat in the system.

Thanks for your responses. I suspected there wasn’t a furnace filter due to the challenging access to the furnace.

I too have used our fireplace (electric heater) to expedite heating of our rig. Due to the travel time needed to refill propane, I sometimes fretted over how much we were using on cold days! Thanks!
