Atv or motorcycle

Just curious what you all use to take your Atv or motorcycle with you. Post up some pictures and a bit of info. Thanks.

Look up the Montana High Country 381 TH and you will know how we haul our toys. Kayaks, jet ski, Honda 1100 Shadow. We don’t currently have an ATV but plan to buy a Can Am Maverick X3 before winter. Unfortunately that won’t fit in the 5th wheel garage (although the CanAm Scout will)!

I’ve looked at toy haulers before and decided the added living space I have and the cost difference was worth the sacrifice. I had a Diamondback tonneau cover on my truck when I had the tt and was able to haul the Atv on that but, now with the 5er I can’t do that.

That’s the great thing about the HC381TH, the garage is UNDER the rear bedroom. You don’t lose ANY living space!!! It is a toy hauler unlike anything else on the market!

I don't take any toys other than our bicycles. But some tow a small trailer behind the 5er for their golf carts and ATVs. And some use the products like the Idaho Tote (and other brands) that are not exactly trailers, but serve the same purpose. Trailers can be an issue if traveling in states that do not allow towing two trailers. But that is mostly east coast and some west coast. The Idaho Tote attaches rigidly to the 5er and is not a trailer in the traditional sense, but may still be considered a trailer by states that prohibit towing two trailers.

I towed trailers behind our previous shorter 5er. But the basement garage on the HC 381TH eliminated the need for that. Now I can take my toys LEGALLY in any state! And still enjoy 42’ of luxury floor plan.

If you have toys your crazy not to at least look at the new design basement garages. Best of both worlds

I looked at that one. Pretty cool the way it is set up. Unfortunately the dealer wasn’t dealing on it as well as they were the leftover 345rl.

When I take my KTM 525 EXC, I first wash it then put in the bed of my truck, then back the truck (with the tailgate down) up to the open door of the 5er, push the Momo through the entry door, then close the big slide and lean it up against the couch, put it in gear, strap the wheels down, close the desk and kitchen slides, and off we go.

No pics of the arrangement though.

Most likely because the 381s are flying off the lots. Dealer told me average 5er sits on lot for 2-3 months before moving. He had sold 18 of the 381s and only 1 had sat on the lot over a week!!! While I spent time getting the price right, we signed for ours day it arrived on lot.

We did the same thing for a co- worker last summer. Unfortunately it won’t work for a 4 wheeler or or a dressed Harley.
