Nu Finish

Is it ok to use Nu Finish polish right over decals on the RV. I have never used this product, and was wondering if its ok to go right over the decals. thanks

Fred,
If it were me, I'd be calling NU Finish and talk to their engineers and see what they have to say. I have contacted another "wax" company and asked them the question and they have never responded and I'm taking that as a "NO" response as to covering the graphics. I have used a wash and wax on our unit and have not had any problem but it is not NU Finish and not a heavy coat of wax when applied. This is JMHO and let us know what you find out if you call the company.

Aerospace303 is still the favorite for putting on decals as a protectant, but haven't heard of any waxes that are good for them.

I use Nu-Finish 2 times a year and right over the decals with no problems. Then i use 303 on the decals right after. Florida sun 24/7/365 over 4 years the decals look new with no peal or cracks. You will be fine.

My dealer said no to any polish or wax because it deteriorates the graphic material. I have used Mcquire RV/Boat wax over the graphics with no apparent deterioration.

How do you wax and not get it on the graphics? Read the bottle on the Nu Finish you need 2 coats LOL
I use Turtle was on my truck because it lasts longer than the wax I use on these cars

NuFinish

Thanks for all the answers, nice looking mustangs, not as nice as the 66 GTO I used to own lol. We have a 2017 4791RD. Just upgraded the toilet and had washer dryer installed. That made the wife happy. Truck is a 2015 Silverado 2500HD. Happy travels to everyone.

Based on recommendations from other campers I am going to apply Rejex, a polymer coating this weekend. Info on bottle states it is safe to use on decals.

I’ve used both, but I streaked my other SOB with Rejex and never got it straightened out. So, from now on I use Nu Finish. Easy on, easy off and my decals have always look new.

Nu Finish worked very well on our previous, a SOB. I went back to my 'standard' a Meguire's product on the current as I was starting from a clean, never waxed 5er. With that said, NuFinish is a great product - easy on and off

When picking a wax for your RV you want something that will last for the year. Meguires isn't the right stuff. It's for show cars that dont see much sunlight. Nu Finish or Turtle Wax is a better choice. Wax doesn't hurt decals at all. My decals are so bad that I can't wax my trailer. Guy that had it before me didn't wax it at all. Been thinking about getting some new ones from a newer year. Just a thought.

If you wander over to the Meguire's website you will find all kinds of waxes and polishes that will last as well as any. I've tried their marine wax but found that it tends to leave swirls if I did that job on a very hot day, I've been using their NXT on my street rod/show car, truck and DWs bright red car with great and long lasting results. I use their wash and wax on every thing as well.

Yes you are correct, its all good. I misunderstood when the prior posted stated about Rejex then seen your reply. I have heard of NuFinish but not Rejex.

I use Maguires RV wax and totally disagree that it isn’t the right stuff. But everyone has an opinion so thats okay. I will continue with what I know works for me.
