We bought in 2016 and got 3.49% for 20 years. We wanted a longer term to keep payment down, but plan to pay off within 7 years. We're bummed about the tax deduction thing but hopefully it will change.
Camping World always has inflated rates, but, like most dealers they will come down if you tell them you're going elsewhere.
Good luck!

Yep, it's gone for fifth wheels but not for motorhomes - interesting.

Apparently the new tax law has been misinterpreted by RVIA and others. It actually only pertains to dealers and not customers. Many of you are familiar with Howard and Linda Payne of the RV Dreams blog and education sessions at RV shows. Howard, an ex-attorney, took a hard look at the law and offers his opinion that the change will not affect us. Read it HERE. make your own conclusion and/or consult your tax attorney.

Thanks Carl - this will take awhile to sort it all out.

We belong to a Federal Credit union. Credit union interest rates are usually as good as or better than other lending institutions. We take a credit union loan for the amount we figure will cover the cost of whatever we are purchasing . The credit union has a check ready to pay for the amount of the purchase. We can then purchase for cash from the dealer and get a cash discount on the purchase price. We just call the credit union and have them send the check for the purchase price. Easy and effective.
