Safest place in KC

My granddaughter sent us a text today. She pointed out that if a tornado threatens Kansas City the safest place to wait out the storm would be Arrowhead Stadium. The reason is that touch downs don't happen there.

Dick:
If a tornado hits Kansas City, I kind of doubt that there is a safe place. I hope it don't. I have a daughter and grandkids that live on the west side of town. Shawnee Misson Parkway. Let us refine what she stated. "A tornadoe has never YET hit either of the two ball parks at Arrowhead"....JB

It's actually a joke. If you were a Chiefs fan you wouldn't have missed the joke.

Groan (Chiefs) but all too true.

Dick, we have a son and family in Lenexa but moving to Shawnee in the next couple of weeks. Not far from Shawnee Mission Parkway.

That's kind of Ozz's neck of the woods.

Ozz is actually up in/near Riverside. Been there a couple of times. Still, not too far from Jim and Sue. JimCol is not too far, either. Likewise MudChief, when they're in the area.

We'll we're out in the boonies in Wilsey, KS when we're in that area. That's off of Hwy 56 and south of I-70. We have hookups for two rigs so it's the cheapest camping around when friends are passing by.

Dick, we'll keep that in mind.

In my working days I spent a bunch of weekends out at the lake at Council Grove. For anyone unfamiliar with the area, Council Grove has a ton of history. And some decent COE parks at Council Grove Lake. Haven't tried Dick's place but that sounds promising.

We actually worked for the COE at Council Grove Reservoir last summer while we finished building our place.

Oh sure, bring that up to Chiefs fans. Now we're looking at Andy Reid for a coach. I guess we're looking to improve our losing record by a couple of wins. It would be nice if someone remembered our Super Bowl days and tried to get us back there!

Dick:
I remember when it was a lot different. I kind of hate to say it, but my daughter use to be a trainer there. That was when Joe Montana was there. Let's see, if I recall , the Chiefs have only appeared in one bowl game and the results were not good. My daughter now works at Garmin and don't have to travel every weekend there is a game out of town... She was there 5 years with the Chiefs but is much better off now even though she was making good money as a trainer. I just read the secret meeting with Andy Reid. That would be a coaching improvement if he can prove himself. They should have gotten rid of Polinti or whatever his name is also...JB

Oh Jack what a poor memory you have. KC lost in SuperBowl I to the Packers but beat the Vikings in SuperBowl IV. How can you forget that? It has only been 43 years ago. Jim
When are you and Dee coming back to KC?
