Isn't it just great to have a choice.

We went from a king to a queen size. No regrets, it does create a little extra room.
Same here...the conversion was easy and we like to memory foam mattress replacement much better than the stock mattress.

I am afraid we wouldn't be in our RV much if we down sized to a queen. One man two cats and me hanging off the edge of a queen.

As posted earlier, we open up the closet door and we both make the bed when changing sheets. I find the king really isn't the same size as a my true king at home.

King is mandatory. No need to compromise with the 3750FL, plenty of room. Some nights it is DW, Maui (Yorkie), Meeko (Maltease), MAZIE (granddaughter), and I.

We bought the trailer at the RV show and should have requested to exchange the king for a queen since we had a queen at home. Had to go out and buy all new bedding for the king and it is a pain to make up bed. We could sleep one more person in between us noe and there is now a ridge in the middle of the bed.

Had a queen and traded for a king. We have a king at home. Hubby makes the bed - longer arms!

Have a King, no problem, plenty of room until we upgraded the mattress with a CA King, cut down on space then.
But still prefer the King, esp w/grandkids and pets.

The quality of the OEM mattress is usually not good so replace with what you want. We changed for the Queen for the added room and ease of make up. Gave the OEM king away.

Here's our thoughts when decided on our King:

- We have used Kings at home for decades and we didn't want to downsize.
- When we travel without the trailer and we find lodging with only a Queen available we always wish we had a King, but am glad it was temporary. Fortunately most places have Kings available so we don't have to adjust.
- The amount of time we gain from fixing a Queen and being able to maneuver around is nowhere close to the amount of sleep time gained from sleeping in a King.
- After fixing the bed, we spend little time around the bed so the extra space being taken up is not an issue. We would complain a lot longer if we didn't sleep comfortably. DW and I are pretty good at fixing the King bed every day, sliding the mattress either direction for tucking.
- My wife and I are not physically challenged so that the loss of room is again not an issue moving around the bedroom. We have more problem with bedroom height even though we fit there too.

Probably the only reasons for a Queen for us would be if we ever downsize at home as we age and become less mobile or less physically capable. Until then we do Kings everywhere we can.

We just came back from a weeklong road trip and it was Kings and Queens where we stayed and the only nights we badly remember are the ones spent in a queen (3 nights King, 4 nights in a Queen).

Even today, when we RV with other friends and family, this topic comes up and our reasons above seem to make better since for us. The Queen at home and in the rig wish they had bigger beds, the King at home and the queen in the rig wish they had the king in the RV, but us Kings at home with Kings in the RV don't bring up the subject.

Whatever you decide I hope you are comfortable with it and it doesn't become a topic of discussion the next morning.

After looking at what seemed to be hundreds of campers we ordered a queen for our new 2012 3100RL. We wanted the extra room in the bedroom as well since we were getting extra room in the rest of the camper. We had a queen bed in our previous campers and were happy with that size. For us the king size bed would be a waste of space.

Have a king and haven't given the pro's/con's much thought. I would like to know what my fellow MOC'ers do with the extra room in the bedroom a queen gives them i.e., storage, nightstands etc.
Thanks,
Mike

Having a King was one of the absolute requirements of our new rig. Actually one of the reasons that we traded.
My feet hung off the end of the queen and our 2 furry kids take up all of my blankets in a queen.
We have an extra sleep number bed (king size) in our guest bedroom that we are going to swap out and put in the 5ver.

Our queen is 2 inches longer than the king that came with the Montana.
