Blackwood RV

Has anyone been able to put their eyes on the new Blackwood 5th Wheel? This is the sister to the new Redwood by Thor that hit the market this past late summer.

If you go to the Redwood forum site there has been some discussions on the new Blackwood and one of the members posted some pictures of the Blackwood also. It's suppose to be a weekender or partime user of the Redwood which is suppose to be a fulltimers unit! I'm hoping to see one at the Tampa RV Show also. It sounds like it is a Redwood but a step down!

Second reply-- When I went on the Redwood forum to see what was being talked about there I had to do some searching of the different discussions and as I said earlier here the Blackwood is suppose to be below the Redwood and for weekenders and partime users. I don't remember which discussion it was on but that's what one of the subscribers said in their comments in the discussion on the Blackwood!

There is a little info on the Blackwoods on the Redwood site http://www.redwood-rv.com/ but most is still under construction. From what I could see, couldn't determine if it is suppose to be above or below the Redwoods. And yes, I do believe they will be at the Tampa Show.

I look forward to hearing the reviews of both the Redwood and Blackwoods from those of you attending the Tampa show.

I've seen a couple of Redwoods in the park I'm in and the exterior finishing looks to be above average. I haven't seen the inside yet.

The Redwoods that I saw have a retail of around $88,000.00 to $110,000.00 so I would guess the Blackwood would be a step down, Hopefully their construction has good quality control.
My wife likes the walk around center kitchen.
