Fuel guage problem

Hi Question was asked buy a camper in this park (Manatee Hammock in Titusville fl. ). He saw my 55 gal fuel tank in my truck and said he also has the same thing. Both are Duramax GMs. I let mine go down to 1/4 tank and pump back up to 3/4. His is gravity flow only and after about 150 miles his guage goes to almost empty and low fuel light comes on. He can take the truck cap off and see fuel but the guage will not work until the aux. tank is empty. Any ideas anyone? Dan

Just curious is his a Transfer Flow fuel tank? On their website I think I remember reading that if you are having trouble with your fuel gauge your supposed to take the fuse out of the LED screen and bring it in for service. Tell him to check their webpage, as it had some trouble shooting solutions and advice on it.
