Apollo Door Switch (again)

When opening the door the CB for the MW would trip so I figured it was time for a new microswitch. Our present (second), oven is about two years old and gets used 20 times a day. DW loves it and has really learned to use the half time feature, I get my burned dinner in half the time, Just kidding, of course. Well, I called Jeff of Jeffs appliance repair in Casa Grande and he came out and replaced the microswitch: Works great again, total cost $71.00. Beats the cost of a new one and Midwest Sales didn't have a refurb in stock. If I get another two years out of this one, I will be a happy camper again. All is good again at our house, (cepting for the black tank repair coming up).

Sweet deal, If the part isn't too expensive, would it be worth while to get a spare, just in case they stop making them soon?

Boy, you would think they would make them more robust. It may be a standard micro switch.

The repair guy said it was a fairly common switch used in many MW's. I think the part was less than $10.00.

Life can be good! Glad you seem to have gotten an honest repair guy...he didn't try to sell you a whole new electrical system for your Montana!

I tend to believe there are more honest and sincere people in this country than folks on the other side. Cathy always tells me I'm too trusting of people. I CHOOSE to believe I am correct. And yes, he was a honest guy trying to make a living repairing appliances out of his house. Life is GOOD!!!!!!
