Rick, I don't know what the GVWR is for the brand new 07 3400 (my 07 3400 is 13975). However, if your truck is maxed at 8800 and the trailer is maxed at 13975...you can reduce that total by the amount of pin weight in the truck...so if you have 2000 pw in the truck, that reduces the trailer weight to 11975 + 8800 = 20775. This is just an example...my pw is about 2500.

Rick, I changed the gears in my 99 to 4.10s and I'm much happier now. Really no lose in fuel economy pulling (about 11), but I do rev up more while I'm running now....I run 60 to 65 and it turns around 2000-2200.
