Quick Question on New Montana

Over the last 17 years of towing three different Montana’s, we have seen a lot of changes. Quite frankly, we have not paid much attention to the suspension/pin box changes recently because we loved our unit and it has IS, which was installed in prep for another Alaska trip. Between new grandchild, Covid and an upcoming wedding, our Alaska trip has been pushed back a number of years. And now, we got the itch for a new rig. The first question, does the new Road Armor suspension come with Heavy duty shackles, wet bolts and hangers? How is the new Road Armor pin box? I have an appointment for the IS to be installed in September on the new rig, but interested what is there before we get it installed.

We also are having an itch... Especially after the walk-through Sam did during the Virtual Rally.

With the beefed-up axels and springs Sam spoke of, I would hope the spring hangers were also improved.

I understand that there were several folks that 'upgraded' to the MorRyde pin box at the last fall rally.

Perhaps Moontana can find time to enlighten us?

Good questions Ron, I will be following this thread.

The last two years that we had National Rallies, I was the vendor coordinator. I couldn't belive the number of former Montana owners who were spending the money to junk the Lippert pin box and go back to a Morryde one, so you may feel the need to do that also while you're having the IS installed.

My 2019 came with the Road Armor system and pin box. They are the heavy duty shackles and wet bolts. The pin box is similar to the Rotaflex pin box. The entire rig handles road shock pretty well, but I have not had the opportunity to pull one with the IS installed. I'm sure that is much better.
I would like to go the IS/Disc brakes upgrade route at some point, but it will have to wait until I am able to get to Elkhart.

Thanks, Robert. I assumed but wanted to make sure.
