I took out the wine rack, added a door and now the bulky silicon baking dishes are stored there. I used a rare earth magent set from Lee Valley to hold it closed. The last picture shows the trick to getting the magnets positioned right. Drill a very small hole through the door and into the cabinet. Now use those tiny holes with forstner bits to create the recesses for the magnets. They are strongest when they touch so watch the depth.

I have never had any issues storing wine in my rack while towing. I've pulled it thousands of miles and no breakage.
I trust the rack. Unless you're really pulling some Gs through the turns. haha.
Happy Camping.

Too hot for wine storage.

Gene Paul Branham makes those for folks.. enter in search on FB page or PM him.
Quality work. We have a 3701LK so it’s located in a bit different place but same thing.
Under $100 and he includes all the hardware. Matches cabinets perfectly.

WE removed the Dinette then built a Desk (that doubles as a dinette) and installed a Wine cooler in the middle for support. Wine travels just fine in it.

Uses for rack.
We don't drink. But I'm sure the DW would find something to stuff pin there.
It you really want to travel with wine up there I would suggest a spring loaded refrigerator bar. Maybe two of them.
We had a quart of milk fall out of the refrigerator while we were traveling and most of it went down the heater vent in the floor. It took a long time to get rid of that smell. Wine might be worse.

I use mine. But the bottles need to go in back low and neck high to travel. When stationary you can lower the neck.

WE have a wine rack, but its located as you enter the door above the buffet. I cut a long piece of rubber (you could use a tire tube) the width of the rack that hold the neck of the bottle down. I use two wood blocks on either end and stretched it to give it some spring back and screwed it down with the wood blocks. Now I just lift the rubber retainer up and slide the bottle under. You could also make something like a stockade that held the witches arms and head in, with a hinge on one side and a latch on the other, to secure the necks to hold the bottles down. Or you could buy box wine..

Wine Rack
We used ours to store water bottles for drinking while we are stationary.

Maybe we're just lucky. Our wine has stayed in the rack for about 4 years. We've made many trips that were several thousand miles long. Never had a problem with it coming out. We have a 305RL High Country. The wine rack is located on the wall common to the bathroom. That location is probably the smoothest riding in the RV. It's about half way between the hitch pin and the axles. We occasionally have trouble with drawers and doors coming open. My wife is diligent about securing them with bungee cords before running in the slides.
We had a rear kitchen many years ago. We couldn't keep the doors and drawers closed. And if they did stay closed, the contents were at least scrambled, and often broken. We replaced most of our kitchen stuff at least once. The refrigerator was also on the rear wall. Cleaning up and salvaging what we could was part of setting up. My brother in law once gave me a gallon of corn liquor moonshine. It came out of it's hiding place and fumigated the entire RV. You could get drunk just smelling the fumes. Took months to air it out. We'll never own another rear kitchen.
We'll probably keep the 305RL for a while. The bugs are all been fixed now, it's rigged close to what we want, and I cringe thinking about starting over.

Either the engineers are idiots or Keystone is intentionally adding sales bling knowing its useless.

We added a wine rack to our model. Maybe they know a bit more than you give them credit.

DW always stores her wine in a wine box. Holds twelve. If you don't buy wine by the case, pick up one at Specs. They have stacks of them. She sets the box under the dining room table for transport and then fills the rack while we are in a campsite. She is big into making the 5r look like home. Already has ours decorated for Halloween

What idiot at the factory decided that a wine storage rack up high where all the heat is should be a place for a wine rack! Wine should be stored at the coolest location possible and not subjected to light. That numb-scull obviously is not a wine drinker. I concur with another that I would have taken that out and used for some other kind of storage.

We took out the slats and use that space for our spices now. Works great.
