Tire hanger bent at 400 miles?
Hey guys bringing my new 3813ms home and about half way noticed the spare tire tipping forward quite a bit. It’s hanging on a single 2” steel support that bent. Thoughts anyone?

Check to see if the tire is scuffed on the side that is hanging down, you may have hit a low clearance such as a railroad track crossing.

Tire might not have been ratchetted up tight and the shaking up and down may have caused the bracket to bend. The 14 ply tires weigh about 62 pounds not including the wheel. The 14 ply tires are a great improvement but weigh about twice as much as the 10 ply tire yet Keystone did not make a stronger bracket to allow for the extra weight. When keystone replaces the bracket I would make sure the tire is up snug against the tire holder and add a ratchet strap as insurance. You don't want to donate the spare to the road not counting the liability to you.

I’ll see what they say at Camping World tomorrow. Seems like it needs to be wider to me, but what do I know?

lol - I didn’t buy it there but I will service it there. Would have bought it there if they had it, save me a trip and trouble. They are installing a washer and dryer tomorrow anyway.
