Black tank smell in hot weather

Here lately i have noticed that with the hot humid weather in Wichita KS that my black tank will start to smell after about 3 days. In the winter i can go a full week and fill it up before it burps its nasty smell. Anyone else have this?

That is because it is colder in the winter and waste will decompose slower. The solution is to dump every 3 days in very hot weather.

I have been using Happycampers for years. It is the only product I will ever use to treat our black tank / grey tanks. All organic, made in Medford Or. does not hide the smell like most tank treatments made with formaldehyde, it eliminates it. We full time year round in south Florida and experience zero smell for days or weeks until it’s time to dump. I buy the 64 size and it lasts about a year and a half. Available at Amazon, Wally World, etc. or you can buy direct. Try it

We spend most of the summer in Wilsey, Ks so we have the same heat and humidity as you do. Happy camper for us for 9 years of full timing. Wouldn't camp without it.

Happy Camper has worked well for us. Seems a little expensive but really isn't as a container lasts a long time.
