What's up with these lights.

I have three overhead lights in the bedroom that are controlled by a switch near the sink in my 3400RL. None of them work. Bulbs are good, switches on the light are in correct position and all the 12V fuses are fine. Any suggestions?

Common denominator, contacts on the switch or connection in first light.

Sounds like a switch to me. You can get a cheap 12 volt tester from any auto parts store and check to see if you have juice to the switch or remove the switch and use a jumper across the switch to see if that is the problem.

What about the ground fault plug, is it "popped"? You did say near sink, is there one nearby??

would be a different circuit Carol, the lights are 12V and the GFI is for the 110.
As suggested it is best to get a test light or a meter and start tracing back and you should be able to find the issue.

Maybe the switches that are actually on the lights are in the off position.

Are you talking about the three light over the sink, in mine those are 120 volts and would be on a 15 amp breaker.

I'd check the switches on the lights first. I've had folks shut them off that way when they couldn't find the switch and then I'd freak because we never touch those switches.

I have an 09 3400rl. One switch turns on the light by the shower and the other switch turns on the other 2 lights. If the switches on the lights are on and the bulbs are good it is probably the 12 volts feeding the 2 switches. Unscrew the switch plate and check for 12 volts to the wire that jumps across both switches. There may not be a ground wire there so you may have to run a wire tail to a good ground for the tester. Also if the fuse is blown there should be an led above the fuse with the red light on. Hope this helps.

The lights that are not working are the three over the bed. 12V. The one by the shower is fine as is the one in the closet. The ones over the sink are fine. No red LED on the fuse block.

If they are 12v then they are probably those push in automotive style bulbs....if you havn't turned them on in a while or ever, then wiggle the bulbs. Our trailer has 2 lights like that and either from traveling or non use, they need wiggled to get them to make contact again. I been meaning to get that contact paste electricians use but what the hell just wiggle them now and then lol lol

My rig works very similar to jwedell, in that there are TWO wall switches to control the 12v overhead lights (one switch controls the light at the shower and the light in the toilet room, the second switch controls both overhead lights in the bedroom). Each 12v light fixture also has a rocker switch at each 12v light to further control the lights. Make sure these are on, too.

If these switches are all correct then I'd suspect a loose wire or bad switch (at each light fixture or on the wall). Proper debug procedures have already been mentioned. You might even try swapping bulbs, but keep close track - I've been known to confuse myself if I don't pay close attention to the swapping.

Please let us know what you find.

Resolution to the problem! The switch was fine, light bulbs were all tight and in place, nothing to do with a GFCB. Usually when a fuse is blown the red LED light comes on, right? Well...not every time. I pulled the fuses one by one and the one that controls the overhead lights was blown but no red LED. Replaced the fuse and life was bright with life. I feel good.
