hot water heater and lines

We lived in our fifth wheel for 2 months in Az and did not check the anode rod in hot water heater. On our trip to Wa. we discovered we did not have hot water, due to anode rod being eaten by mineral deposits and had broken loose and clogged our hot water lines. We bought a new rod and flushed the hot water heater many many times, still don't have hot water coming out of faucets.

Also tried back flushing faucets with water from hose, but still no results. Any ideas, please help, we stink and need a shower!

Could be the check valve that needs replacing. There is a check valve on the hot water tank. Our hot water tank was making a squeeling noise while it is still working, but they said you will have no hot water eventually, if you don't replace that check valve. It is the hot water valve that comes Out of the hot water tank. This has happened others too.

Thanks for the suggestion. It was the check valve on the hot water heater and now we have hot water. No more showers at the Rv park!

I am so happy that I was of help with my suggestion. That is great. We got that suggestion from another Montana Owner website too. We have seen numerous people at our Park one time that had someone from an RV Repair place checking their water heaters. At that time we did not know what our problem was, but were able to fix it ourselves. Got the part at an RV place. As we were in the Parts store, the repair guy came out with the part we needed too and was replacing that valve for a customer. He said the check valves last about 5 years before they need to be replaced.
