Ladder for bunks

Any suggestions for a ladder for the bunks in the back of the bunk house?

We used a stool with limited success on our last trip.. but the boys want a ladder..

and, the bunks fold up.. so we have to have something that will work with that..

any ideas?

Thanks!

It has been AGES since we looked at bunk beds, but in the ancient times they used to sell ladders, some were wood and heavy, substantial, others were much lighter, but still strong, aluminum maybe?????? (On Edit: They used to sell seperately as well as with a set of bunks. You could buy JUST the ladder. )

Go to a store that specializes in bunk beds (well, OK, there used to be stores that do that, are there still????) Ask them.

Not familiar with your unit, but it would seem if you get one small enough, and light enough that you could lay in on the lower bunk when you raised it, and just store it there on the bed. Again, not familiar with your unit, so maybe that is not a possible solution.

Good luck, post your solution here, we love reading about solutions!!

If they fold maybe you could hinge one to the bottom end of the top bunk so it would fold across the bottom. Maybe a used or damaged RV ladder could be found and cut down. Just my weak mind rambling here.

John, we bought one from camping world. It is aluminum and works great. We stow ours on the top bunk when traveling but since your bunks fold up, you could probably put it behind the sofa. If I remember correctly the price was around $40.
